IMac’s Word of the Day:

 

If you own an IMAC (OS X Leopard), you may know about the many screen savers.

I run a Mac lab, and have all the Macs screen-savers set on Word of the Day.  

When the computers are idle one of five words float across the screen, displaying the word and definition.

This way, not only am I giving students an opportunity to build their vocabulary, but I’m learning too.

 

There’s also a Dashboard Widget for the Mac OS X, called Word of the Day.

It displays the word of the day from Dictionary.com.
