I started using the software program Inspiration to teach students how to prepare for a writing project.

Created for the visual learner, Inspiration helps with organizing ideas, planning, mapping out your chapters, concepts, outline, or ideas, brainstorming, webbing and more.

After seeing first hand how the program inspires creative thinking, I decided to use it for my own writing. I started by using the templates to map out an outline of my life and arrange the chapters. Then I used the diagrams to help keep track of characters, time-line, and story settings.

A valuable tool that comes in handy beyond the classroom.
