Finding that Path Called Divine
Have you ever stumbled upon something that you knew was created for you (a piece of jewelry, a song, poem, painting, blouse, etc…)?
Or, have you ever crossed paths with someone you knew was meant to be in your life at that particular season of life (friend, potential mate, life coach, kindred spirit)? Or you were meant to be in theirs.
Have you ever been someplace that you just knew, or you thought to yourself, this is where I am supposed to be? These, to me, are signs that you are on your divine path.
This blog is total opinion, revealed religion or maybe I’ve just been through enough crap in my life to know; take it or leave it (smile).
In the last six months of my life I have been going through a healing and growing spurt (you’ll have to buy the memoir when I’m finished to know the details). LOL. During this time, God has placed all the right people, gifts and blessings in my life to get me through this delicate period.
I don’t want to speak too soon, because I still have some ways to go before all the wounds have closed, and I’ve gathered all the lessons I can summon from this experience. But God is good all the time!
I believe that we are all on a journey but we are not always on our divine path. Many times we become distracted by self, others, or that amusement park called “excess”.
Princess Diana once said, “The kindness and affection from the public have carried me through some of the most difficult periods, and always your love and affection have eased the journey”
I feel her passion in this statement, but I’m going to have to tweak it and take out the words ‘from the public’ and replace them with ‘of my Higher Power’, now add the words ‘divine path’ at the end and we got it!
Finding your divine path through prayer:
When searching for my divine path, the first thing I had to do was turn on some light! You can’t walk around in the dark. And if you are walking in the dark, most likely you are not on your divine path. And for heaven sake, quit following folks who are walking in the dark. You’ll end up lost.
Clues you have been lead into the dark:
- You are chasing the almighty dollar instead of using those gifts given by the true Almighty.
- You have a lot of blah days.
- Something is missing and you can’t put your finger on it.
- You are not being true to yourself-the real you.
- You are always the victim and in every situation you are able to point at the victimizer.
- Repeated mistakes.
- You are still blaming someone else for where you are in your life.
- Nursing pain instead focusing on healing
- Trying to be perfect
- always your will instead of His will
You get the point.
In retrospect, there have been so many seasons in my own life that I wasn’t on the path where most of my blessings lay. That path that leads me to that position I was created for, that path that crosses or will lead me to people that I mesh so well with, that path where I find so much peace.
During those seasons I felt lost I was usually lead by fears or insecurity. Thankfully God’s perfect Love leads us back to where we need to be.
Be open to redirection though…
It’s prayer, that connection with God, which turns on the light so you can see the truth in your life.
Once you see the truth, you’ll see the wonderful spirit that God created with purpose; that gorgeous masterpiece that stares you in the mirror. You know; the perfectly imperfect you that is covered by any grace that you ask for from your Father. The forgiven you. The naked you. The organic you. The authentic you. Beauty.
The road called divine:
We all have a divine path, the road that leads us to our purpose. We are equipped with an organic attraction to all we’ll need to complete that purpose.
The key idea here is things that naturally attract us, draw us in, compel us. Not that part of us that is blind-sided by popular belief, the media, or fear of the response we’ll get when “they” hear our real voice. Not that hurt or abandoned or revengeful part of us, I’m talking about the organic part of us.
Remember, the light is on, we have connected, we have accepted; but once you’ve connected, you’d best believe there is going to be some self-growth, some self-discovery.
Love:
The map to your divine path is love. The closer you get to loving without fear (that same fear that past hurt has taught 99% of us) the more likely you are to find and stay on your path. When you walk in love, you walk divinely.
When you walk in love, planting seeds of love into the lives of others; watch what takes bloom. Yes, a bouquet, a garden, a grassland of gifts and blessings that have your name written upon them; presents that present themselves as you walk your divine path.
I’m not saying walk in love so you’ll find your gifts, I’m saying walk in love and become a gift. Your gifts will just fall into your lap. And not all gifts are material; enlightenment, joy and wisdom are gifts as well.
Finally, and I must add, even when you become this dauntless creature of love on his or her journey, you will still experience your share of lessons; those things that in the end reshape your consciousness. God is chiseling away at those things we’ve picked up along the way (usually when lost) and polishing, solidifying His masterpiece: you.

Autumn,
This blog is the bomb. I love your writing, it’s inspiring me to continue on my path and to find that organic me. I like what you mentioned when you said in love be the blessing to someone else. Finding that divine path is critical to knowing who you are and whose you are. Knowing your self worth can lead you to dream and act and walk with your head held high…this is not vanity, this is letting His will shine through you for others to see and also being able to follow His lead to get all the love and peace for our lives. I enjoyed this good read.
Thanks
Sweet Vettes
